American Owned Restaurants in Singapore

  Howdy all,
  
  I've travelled a bit in my life having been an installer of Satellite Communications Stations etc. and then working as a Personnel Administrator for McDonnell Douglas including 5 years in Taif and Jeddah Saudi Arabia.
  
  When I travel, I really enjoy running into other expat Americans who own Restaurants and other businesses in whatever country I am visiting.
  
  Just returned from a 3 day Christmas Shopping trip to Singapore but didn't have the spare time to investigate any American Expats. Will be returning again in the middle of March and would like advance notice of any/all Restaurants/businesses owned by Americans there.
  
  Can any of the members of this forum help me out?

  Perhaps the Tricon group which owns KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut & Long John Silvers? They might have been renamed to become the Yum group.
  
  There's another group that owns Starbucks, etc., but I can't remember it now.
  
  (Note: these groups are franchises which employs mostly locals, I believe.)
  
  Actually, it would be easier for you to visit the American Club located near the Scotts/Orchard Road area. That's the club for American expats.

  i believe the group you mentioned now belongs to a malaysian.

  Thanks to those who mentioned the American Club. I actually did stop in to visit with them during our Dec trip while getting directions to the PSA Navy PX just beyond the Terror Club up north.
