Where to shop for mangosteens...and when are they available?

It's about 10 years since I have migrated here with my family..........
But till now I haven't had any chance to even try out the mangosteens.......
My mum always "forces" starfruits to me, citing them good for my acne/pimple condition............when she said that mangosteens are "too cooling"......."only to be eaten with durians"............
By now, I have had enough of her sayings.....and "daily fruit ritual" only to consist of apple, orange, starfruit.....and many others.....just without mangosteens at all...........
And so I had decided to look for mangosteens myself......
So for now where could I find mangosteens.....and when could I find it? -
It's available during middle of the year if I'm not wrong as that's the season. It's usually available at Markets, seldom seen at Supermarkets actually.

try those neighbourhood markets.
these days ther aint such thing as seasonal fruits... -
you can get a crapload of them at the geylang stalls which sell durians

Finally my 10-year wait is over!
I have managed to get some mangosteen at Cold Storage Bugis Junction yesterday afternoon.
It's mangosteen Indonesia, at 49cents per 100g.
Later when I enjoyed it, there is not much flesh (white in colour), but it's very nice, very sweet yet sour, very soft and very juicy.

Durian season is its peak, otherwise pay lots of $$$ per kilo and get small small hard hard ones.
