I was a sucker n paid 5 bucks for a bowl of maggi noodles......
The korean cuisine stall at Funan IT Mall basement court serves curry flavour maggi noodles as kimchi ramen! And when I confront them, the stall lady said " singaporeans called it maggi noodles, the koreans called it ramen, they're the same......."

i kenna before!!! the same stall at Funan... i posted about it before somewhere.......
it's not maggi noodles, they use korean instant noodles, i forgot the brand already, because someone just delivered the carton of instant noodles to the stall and she took out a packet from the carton to cook...... for me....... when I saw it, in my heart i said "wtf!!!"...... and the noodles was the same brand as what I have bought before from the grocery store.....
why should I pay so much to eat instant noodles when I can cook it myself at home!
what they did was to garnish the intant noodles with spring onions, and give you a small miserable dish of kimchi to go with it..... -

need to make a living also don't use instant noodles blatantly (and charge $4.50 or $5) to cook in a food court and serve as korean cuisine.......
if i had known i would have ordered from the bak chor mee stall instead, no need $5 even...... even if i were to pay $5 for bak chor mee is still more worth it....... -

I have never taken korean noodles in food courts because they look really like instant noodles in the first place. Thanks very much, guys, for confirming my hypothesis.. -
United Suare also got one. And they blatantly cook the instant noodles in front of you. That day I got see 1 person refusing to pay for it and walk away.

same here.. my gf had the korean "ramen" at chua chu kang lot 1's food court. i tried abit.. really taste like the ones i had at home. same texture. waste $$. nv try it again. felt so cheated.

Yes, caveat emptor. Still, I did not expect them to go to this extent to make a high profit margin.
I usually eat bibimbab at korean stalls - the ingredients look freshly made...so I think still worth the $5-$6.

i think the stall owner is right. it is a common practice to serve instant noodles.

Even one stall in DTE is selling Instant Noodles and charging rates like those minced pork noodles or even higher by just adding vegetables and chunks of chicken. That's why I always open my eyes bigger before buying, to prevent paying for something not worth the value.

i never go for Jap, Korean or wat...i always eat chicken rice, chai berng or fishball noodles....
