Breakfast At Cafe Cartel

Hi Guys,
Recently had BF at Cafe Cartel Marina, didn't know they started serving BF. Thot it was quite value for money imho. bacons, muffins, sausages, etc...free flow of coffee/tea for abt $6+. and add $0.50 gets you a cup of cappuccino (too bad no free flow).
They also started serving beef ribs, anybody tried? Would like to find out how is it. Looks good on the menu pics.
Do you know that now all Cafe Cartel outlets have service charge!!
Not sure when they started this? It sucks having to pay the extra 10%, although they will serve you all the plain water and bread you want and now u don't have to go to the counter to order your food.Cld even get them to serve you the sauce.

I dun mind paying service charge if they serve me whatever I want leh..
queueing at the counter also takes a long time at night, especially weekends.
Know they have breakfast since long ago.. but nv tried.
My area dun have cafe cartel.. need to travel about 30 mins to get to the nearest outlet.. i wun want to wake up so early and travel juz to have breafast that i can get at MacDonald or Burger King nearby. -

i still have to write on the paper and bring to the counter and pay leh -

I was stunned at having to pay another 10%...geez. Most of the stuff I can do myself what. It just seems weird you know.

Not too sure about the cakes, was there in the mor!! Shld still be 50% after 9pm. I love the the choc cakes (thick man).

Well talking bout Cafe Cartel, just trying to share my experience with their new customer service issue.
Went to the Raffles City branch last Sat for dinner as I have been craving for their ribs for quite some time. Realised that they changed the ordering system and that now they actually serve at the table.
Went ahead with the orders. My friend ordered the grilled chicken as one of the side dish was his favourite. Thus asked the server if brustlesprouts is included in that dish. Server replied yes. Waited bout 30mins for food to arrive. The issue being, I have 4 different servers coming up to me to ask if I had ordered etc etc etc, after confirming my order for 4 times, I will expect that last thing they can do is to mess up my order.
Turns out that when the grilled chicken arrived, they had a puny portion of pasta, carrot, chicken and no brustlesprouts! This was despite us repeatedly checking with our initial server that there will be brustlesprouts! The lack of service attention during dinner was also disturbing, many a time we had to refill our cups personally. Something told me that they were having service issue as our neighbouring table's diners were complaining that their orders took bout an hr to arrive.
Just what is wrong with them? My craving and expectations for Cafe Cartel food and service quality have been nullified after that experience and needless to say will not be likely to return there in a while.

so y don't u just give it a try and see loh... i had mine at marina square. don't know how the other outlets fair.... -

no eaten cartel's breakfast before (cannot wake up early enuf)
but i like coffee bean's breakfast -
If not wrong, BF at Cartel is till 11am (quite std for most rest). What do they have at coffee bean and BF till what time? Not as lucky as you, can't sleep late on wkend as my family has habit to go for wkend BF together.

I tried CF's breakfast 2 wkends' ago. It's ok lah, though not fantastically yummy. The omelette (too thick) can't beat some of the hotel's standard though. Although it's freeflow, I wasn't inclined to drink a second cup of coffee coz not fantastic also.
How's the coffee bean breakfast? -

How's the coffee bean breakfast? Cb Bf okay loh, i like d coffee there, limited breakfast set to choose fm. I rather go Swensens for BF.

Last time they sell cheesecakes at 50% off after 9pm.
But that night I was told that cheesecakes will be at 50% off if i DINE IN.
What the fish.. last time i used to buy 2 at the price of one wan leh.
So in the end I only bought one blueberry cheesecake home.
