Any1 tried that stall beside Wee Nan Kee Chicken rice Novena? that store which sells duck noodles and stuffs~ can any1 tell me wat is best there? thanks

Ya, tried the char siew & roast pork- sauce very salty, char siew hard, can find better elsewhere

I work in the vicinity so I can give you a picture.
from left to right if you are standing with the church behind you.
1) HKG Street rest.
they are good with their fish hor-fun, but other than that, you can give it a miss
2) peranakan food.
3) new adam road, big prawn mee. they also got wu-hsiang.
not bad.
4) steamboat
never tried
5) peach garden
good food, but depends on budget.
6) new food court.
quite a few stalls can try.
japanese.. hor fun stalls.
7) wee nam chicken rice.
unless I got craving for chicken rice, I never go there.
new stalls selling duck and mee.
quite good business. tried. on a scale of 1-10, 6.5
9) rest selling streaks and stuff.
quite reasonable prices, can try if got gf, but not very class.
10) kumalas - veg south indian food
unless you like.
11) big bowl
got a lot of variety of noodles. free drink.
For me, I choose to go to the new foodcourt and order, the standard still okie.

I think the no. 10 komalas and no. 11 Big Bowl noodles (see post above) closed shop liao.
All I know about the roast duck char siew stall is that their Toa Payoh branch is very dao. If there's only one or two of you, they won't let you sit at the bigger tables - they only allow you to sit at the tiny tables for 2 persons. They don't care if it's non-peak hour, or that there are no customers occupying the bigger tables, or that the tiny 2-person table is located near their hot stove or getting the sunlight. They didn't care, so I walked off without ordering.
