Can anyone teach me how to make smelly tofu ???

Does anyone here knows how to make the smelly tofu ? I like to eat smelly tofu but sadly local stalls just can't seem to have any really good smelly tofu . Tried pasar malam also not so good . Would appreciate if anyone can tell me step by step how to ferment it the proper way minimum must ferment for how long etc and how to make the sauce that you pour onto it after you deep fry it .

2day saw clementi mrt outside there got pasar malam. Got sell. REALLI very smelly. Smell of urine+vomit+sHix.
The smell was all over -
pasar malam???? nobody complain meh.... i had my priviledge of trying one during my taiwan trip earlier this month... it's just EEKY!! My sister loved it though...

I've seen it at quite some Pasar Malam already. During last year end, there's one at Hougang Central. Was for quite a long period. Each time before walking past that stall, I see if they're opening the deep fryer lid. If yes, I'll stop in my track. If no, I'll hold my breath and run for my life. For few time I walked past and the lids was opened. I stink for the rest of the night that I'm out.

taiwan's smelly tofu is nice only if u add chilli and some preserved vegetables with it. I would vomit if I eat too much of it. But overall I think its better than hongkong one.

i heard if u find the smelly tofu smell too strong, u can pour more chili on it to mask the smell.... then it wont be such a torture to eat it...

Iran and hide under the drain after seeing smelly tofu.
Then suddenly i found the drain smell not that bad compared to it. -

Tried it once in HK.. the smell is really shit+urine. Then I thought "hmm maybe just bear with the smell and have a bite. Maybe it will taste great." But it didn't. It really tasted like faeces as well!

NO BLOODY WAY. Clementi pasar malam there stinky until like dunno what man. I thought somebody took a dump somewhere and hide so well until smell also so super strong. I think the garmen got restrict on how smelly the toufu can be. Because too smelly residents will complain. Last time one uncle selling CTF at KL told me de. Also happening in HK.

from what i know and gathered so far, u need to drain the water content from the tofu....then place them in a container of fermenting seasoning...the ingredient of the season is a highly guarded secret....what i know is that there is szechuan peppercorn, chilli oil, herbs...and some other secret ingredients....

Joo Chiat road got one shop selling cho tofu...saw it last weekend.
If u prepare it at home, the smell will drive your neighbours crazy...wondering the cause and source.
