What nice food did you have over the weekend?

  Do share, so that we can have some ideas of what to have next week.
  
  I had a belated mother's day dinner, and bec I had a Tung Lok $100 voucher, I went for the a la carte buffet at TL's seafood gallery at east coast, which was a nice change from our usual Chinese set menu type of dinner. I also discovered that "gorby" is a fish. Other nice-to-eat stuff are the plump Aust. oysters and salmon sashimi. *drool*

  sunday i think i had CQYD instant mee with scallops and sotong balls and xiao bai cai for dinner

  Had dinner at Country manna on Saturday. I had to buy. Made me 90 dollars poorer. But was delicoius.

  yeah...I cannot tahan Tom Hanks hair so I boycot the movie. I thought of reading the book instead but the thought of visualising the hero with Tom Hank's hairdo made me change my mind and decide to boycot the book also.

  Nice food? I don't think so. Went to my friend's ROM at Conrad Hotel, High Tea buffet. I have to say the food sucked big-time. Everything also CMI. The instant noodles I had for lunch tasted much better Lost my appetite for dinner

  I tried the "Hao3 cho1 dao4" (cho1=porridge) steamboat buffet at AMK Central (at 3rd floor, above Season's dept store) which gave a choice of chicken soup and/or tom yam soup, or rice porridge soup (in a clay pot).
  
  Dinner costs $13.90 net with nice soup stock and a good variety of fresh ingredients, plus a free drink. There was also a small buffet of cooked snacks, including chicken drumlets, chicken curry, bee hoon, etc., fruit and potong ice cream.
  
  Most of the seats are located outdoor in a relaxing setting and there's also a small aircon area. Not a posh kind of place, but recommended for the value-for-money and tasty food. It gets quite a full house during dinner time on the weekends. Will go again soon.

  Sometimes it's nice to eat something simple, for a change.
