Tepenyaki recommendations

Family members love Tepenyaki & live oysters buffets.
Any recommended buffets for these items and other delicacies?
Have tried Sakura & Genghiskhan.
i've run out of ideas and on their birthdays, father's & mother's day, brought them to hotels to enjoy too.
Any others to recommend? Budget should be abt $40/ pax. -
Remember those teppan counters at food courts,now no more? Actually they have been made into a restaurant at Turf city under the same management. The menu almost the same, food standard increase,nice environment but prices higher... My bill for 3 was 80+

There is only one tepenyaki worth trying ... Shima at Goodwood Park Hotel. Go for the set lunch/buffet whcih also include unlimited salmon sushimi, it's about $40. Dinner is not worth it as it's overly pricey. After the lunch, you adjourned to another section, away from the smoke for your coffee and ice cream(included in the price), and may sit there all afternoon long admiring the views of Scotts/Orchard - nice embience.
Another place is at Jurong Hilltop(besides the Jurong Bird Park), and you need a car to get to the top. Quality wise, I wld go for Shima anytime. The place is also dimmer and older. -

Unfortunately, you need to be rather loaded to go Shima.
Teppanyakki buffet at other places is probably not going to be worth it: just look at the appalling standards at the 'Khans' and Vienna. -

I was there few months ago for dinner...it sucked -

last time visit a couple of mths ago. you cannot compare to long time ago when it is juz strictly set-lunch. Quality of ingredient is unbeatable. The prawns are hugh, the garlic rice taste like no other. Still tenpayaki wise, there is no better value for such std. It is buffet now, is better value, & unlimited salmon sushimi. WE have to adjust also liao.
Personally i still prefer the old times set-lunch, best value for money.
You went for dinner .... must have cost a bomb!!!!
Another nice tenpayaki is Inagiku at Raffles City ... again, best value is set-lunch. Ala carte is too $$$. Shima and Inagiku gave me the best impressions so far.
Cheaper alternative, you may try tenpayaki at genki Sushi at Parkway Parade. -

the foodcourt teppanyaki is called Express Teppanyaki.. the only 2 remaining branches I know of are at Tampines Mall and Turf City. J8 one also close down liao.
X DO NOT EAT X - I've eaten at the IMM teppanyaki (not buffet, is sit in front of chef he cook for u u order from menu kind) - show nice, food not that great.
The teppan yaki at the hotel connected to raffles city is quite nice, scallop still in the shell too.. although a tad expensive.. the last time i was there, the bill for 3 was around $300.
the Dining@Sakae at CPF building serves teppan yaki food but is not cook in front of u la.. is u order they cook in the kitchen n serve.. the rest of the food on the menu is typical Sakae Sushi. Not bad.
I also tried the teppan yaki at J-Toshi Restaurant in M Hotel @ Anson Road. The Garlic Fried Rice was SUPER NICE. u can choose to sit in front of the chef or sit elsewhere cos they got different menus.. teppan yaki menu.. and other menus.. got buffet also.. etc.. -

Ahhh...drooling..i'm gonna eat later...Tell me if they is any good one is town area...Not those fodcourt 1..coz foodcourt like very crowded..must wait..
