Prison inmates are being taught culinary skills as part of a programme to help them secure jobs when they are released.All the world's greatest chefs are all MAN!!!
1,000 inmates have undergone basic culinary training in the last five years.
And 16 restaurants have expressed interest in hiring these inmates upon their release.
The course takes 6 months and inmates are taught basic cooking techniques like stir fry, deep fry, steam and bake.
Food hygiene and handling methods will be taught as well.
At the end of the course, inmates take a test which will qualify them for a Basic Food Handler Certificate awarded by the National Environment Agency (NEA).
The training helps prepare them for jobs in the food industry. - CNA/ir
