today my friend gave me 2 (big) otahs from MUAR
very nice, got chunks of fish inside...
he said Muar's otahs are the best, after eating them, you won't want to look at Singapore's otahs any more.....
So if u go to Muar, remember to get some...
And, where got nice otahs in Singapore?
I know Joo Chiat got 1 stall, their otahs quite nice....... sorry i dun have the address.... -

I concur with you, the best otah comes from muar. I frequently go muar for business trips, and its always either the otah or the assam fish.
Undeniably the best otah you can find on this planet. Can't find anything even close in singapore. -

I actually like the non-muar ordinary otah leh...those 3 sticks for one lollar type. Just like I like laksa with thinned down gravy...not too lemak.

actually, they use a lot of rubbish fish to make those otahs, left over scraps from the trawlers, I was told in mersing that those fish keropoks were made from scrap fish like giant trevally or marlin and sailfish (too much blood in their meat, nobody would eat them ..... ) -

Muar got the best Otah. But the other time when I was at a chalet, my neighbour occupants gave me 2 otah they've made themselves and it's better than Muar one. Was so nice.
Some 3 for $1 is totally CMI. But some are so nice. Those Lee Wee Bro one still not bad. -
