Cadbury recalls seven chocolate product lines contaminated with salmonella
SINGAPORE: The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority has recalled seven Cadbury's chocolate milk product lines because of fears of salmonella.
In the UK and Ireland, Cadbury recalled the chocolates after finding traces of salmonella coming from a UK factory.
While Cadbury said the recall was "purely a precautionary measure", Singapore's AVA has issued a recall alert for Cadbury chocolates that come from the UK.
The chocolates are Dairy Milk Turkish, Dairy Milk Caramel, Dairy Milk Mint, Dairy Milk 8 chunk, Dairy Milk 1 kilogram, Dairy Milk Button Easter Egg and Freddo bars.
AVA has advised consumers who have these products that are made in the UK, to return them to the outlets they had purchased them from.
Channel NewsAsia understands that the majority of Cadbury chocolates found in Singapore are made in Australia or New Zealand. - CNA /dt
