  I remember seeing one, but not tasting it. Reminded me of the time I was in Oz with this friend who walked into a cafe and ask what the rum ball was made of. The waitress smiled and replied:"Rum.". I was sniggering away.

  Anyway, usually the bakery uses day old cakes which they can't sell as fresh to make them.
  
  Just make sure you use more chocolate cake and you can mix it up with any kind of cake crumbs. Some fruit jam is added in and of course the rum. It is then rolled up and soften with lots of melted butter. For richer chocolate flavor, melted chocolate or chocolate syrup is drizzled over. When the rum ball is firm and moist enough, roll it in chocolate rice and keep chilled and you have your Rum Ball

  actually there isn't anything wrong with overnight cakes, is there? usually I buy cakes, I don't finish them on the same day.

  since when were sausages made of rotten meat? they're usually made of unwanted parts of the animal(after all the choice meats have been sold as they are), minced up with spices then stuffed into intestines, where got rotten meat?

  If you are talking about fermented food it would be things like soy sauce, cheese, yougurt, fish sauce, smelly beancurd etc.
  
  But sausages are definately not made of rotten meat.

  Chinese sausages are not made of rotten meat.
  
  They are just meat processed in such a way that they don't rot.
