The new concept of eating cold noodles in Singapore

  Hey, anyone heard of "lao lao mian"? I just went to Suntec today and saw this new store at Tasty treats corner outside Carrefour. The shop sells cold soba noodles in bubble tea cups. I tried one and it tastes fantastic!! I got to choose my own sauce, noodles and ingredients. The fun thing about eating is that i have to shake the cup like bubble tea drink before i can start eating the noodles. Anyone tried that???

  what a way to start your first post =D, but anyways.. welcome, and that sounds pretty cool.. i will try, but to date, i have never liked cold noodles =(

  Yah, i love cold noodles too .... yummy ...cheaper den going jap restaurant ..haha ... nah ..dont think they have any other branch ... but quite cool ...i bought the $3 to taste ..and shake my cup like bubble tea .... interesting way to eat noodles...

  i havent tried their so called Thai sweet and sour ...only tried their Taiwan Sesame Sauce and Aus Cream sauce with my bfr .... kinda like both ..haha ..but i cant find any jap sauce ...although they have green soba ...

  long time ago i used to love zaru soba... then after that i'm not so hot with it anymore....won't purposely go for it...
  
  but still I don't mind eating the small portion of it at SAKURA (marine parade) when I'm there...
  
  so this one issit also a small portion since it's only $3?

  $3 is in bubble tea cup. Although it looks small, i find it quite filling. Think enough for most ladies.

  its not a new concept? I've eaten cold soba in Sg over 15 years ago when I was a small kid.

  yah...but the new concept is that we eat the soba in bubble tea cup (and shake it before we eat) and have different type of cold noodles, sauce instead of the normal soba we eat at jap restaurant just find it more interesting ..
