Cold Crabs

  where else to find nice cold crabs other than Singapura Restaurant and Lee Kui?

  Most traditional teochew restaurants serve cold crabs, e.g. Mong Hing Teochew Restaurant at KeyPoint - their teochew food is good, and my family likes to eat there.
  
  There a new Crab Shack at Upp Thomson Road (opposite the Prata shop at Sin Ming) that serves steamed flower crabs, but I haven't tried. This shop is interesting bec it looks like a western joint but is actually situated in an old local kopitiam, right behind the bus stop. I see a good crowd on weekends.

  The so called famous prawn noodle stall at zion rd food centre also serve cold crabs, prices at 13 bucks for one. If you ask me about the prawn noodles, I find it still loses to the one at hong lim.

  Lee Kui still the best.
  
  Chicken house at Thomson road (kumpung chicken rice) also sells cold crabs, but i've never tried them.

  a couple of mths ago i went Lee Kui, but no eat the crabs
  the other dishes are pretty good.......
  though it was a monday nite, it was almost full house

  Lee Kui amost everyday is a full house. Some of their speciality dishes like braised goose either run out very fast or have to order one day in advance like luo mi ya (glutinous duck rice).
  
  Best is no service charge but the people there are so nice i usually leave a tip anyway. Somemore go until the auntie know me always give discount, especially when i host clients
