My airbase the SFI suckz to the core. Even the cat in the base don't eat the food. They just walk away after sniffing it. So Sad....

we shouldn't be complaining, afterall the food is free. sure, the food isn't as good as kopitiam or food court food but hey at least it's edible, ask your dad how bad the food is last time and u will appreciate what they serve now.
we shouldn't take things for granted. -
Duringmy NS, my muslim section of he canteen always have a lot of curry , spicy food which i enjoyed.
t deends on which camp. Camps which have bigshots or a higher authority like HQ or Brigade level, normally the food there is good because the high ranking officers may complain. -
typical western food set: rice + black pepper drumlet + brocolli + mashed potato + ice cream + bread + mushroom soup
i like the burgers set too....and the hokkien noodle set...and the bak kut teh set. haha maybe im easily contended
the hokkien noodle set especially got lotsa big prawns i like to add lotsa chilli to the bak kut teh soup...then super fiery and heavenly...whoosh..
anyway dun treat this as whining thread...come and share ur memorable food experience in army! -
Now the food standard also changed a lot ever since sub-contracted to SFI... Just like yeaterday for dinner, me had spaghetti with minced meat sauce, fried chicken cutlet, fries and cream of mushroom...

Anyway.. its not whether the food is edible or not, its that its being cooked bad. I believe with effort, tree leaves and twigs can be a delicacy

I dunno about you guys, but I enjoyed the salmon burgers.
I wanted to buy them at NTUC, but they cost $3.50 for two patties. Ouch. -

In my NS days 1981 to 1983...... 1st G somemore...kan ni nia.... My fucking camp's cook house serve us with unwashed vegetable....we ate the vegetable with sand and earth. Fuck the sg army

u always find the fresh ration in army suxs... but in outfield u see those combat ration u wld wish u have SFI fresh ration back in camp... contradicting ah..

I prefer BMTC food. If I'm not wrong it's still served by Food Fare? SFI in the my base standard differ from time to time. Perhaps they keep changing cook or they simply cook according to their mood.

in unit breakfast is so much better. can always choose between bread or noodles/rice/beehoon/chicken pie etc. lunch and dinner also not bad lah. better than my mum's cos she uses almsot no salt and oil
as for outfield food i only can distinguish between 3 choices: spicy, gluttinious rice, and non-gluttiious plus non spicy.spicy is best. followed by gluttinious rice. the last one is better fed to wild boars.. actually I got friends who tell their moms that army food taste better than what their mom cooked when they go home. -
