I had it at AV hawker last weekend and it was good. It was tangy and savoury, with strips of jelly fish & preserved (sour) onion bulbs added....quite different from some stalls which tend to add lots of red sweet sauce.

I dunno, but it must always compliment satay bee hoon.

not sure if it's still there, but one at Margaret Drive Hawker Centre was good.. as Wanda said, they had this stuff "lak keuw" or preserved garlic or onions or whatever, which isn't added these days..

Why is so? Actually, that AV stall sells satay beehoon too....use the same ingredients --> jiu hur.
Now I feel like eating "harm" (cockles).

what is or where is AV hawker?
Wanda
Alexandra Village (near to Ikea).
The traditional teochew kueh teow mee there is superb and cheap...it's really the traditional style (closes after lunch).

AV hawker ctr is across the road, along Alexandra Rd (facing Queensway ctr).
ABC hawker ctr is along Bkt Merah Rd (further down from the old safra bldg, behind the flats).
Oscar's foodcourt is at Anchor point.
