Do you know which type of water you are drinking?

Is there anyway you can check if you are drinking Newater or water from catchment area? The reason for asking is because recently I notice the taste of the tap water is different.

Have you tasted water from the toilet bowl right after you pee? If it tastes something like that, chances are its newater.

There is a very contrasting difference between the taste of water at my mum's place and at home. The water from my tap sucks big time...you will never want to drink direct from the tap.

if i am not wrong,newater is already mixed so all water now already contain newater whether you are in the east,west or other part of singapore

Before you say this, have you tasted water from different parts of the country? Hello , u drink direct newater ? No la , i heard newater is processed and thrown back to the reservoir , then we take the water from reservoir and purified it and make it drinkable .
Mix mix ..... not purely newater , it's newater = reservoir water .
Also heard direct newater can only be use for factory level , not drinakble one . -
Yes, newater are not fit to direct consumption because it is too clean. Current there are 3 Newater plants in Singapore right? Kranji (north west) Bedok (east) and Seletar (north) And the forth one will be buildin in Ulu Pandan (west).
My question is, is there a website you can go to to find out the source of your home tap water?
I got this funny feeling that Newater are pump into reserviour that feeds those people living in District 10 and 111. Can anybody confirm this? -
i worked in waterhub during my internship, a company of PUB dealing with newater and stuff..
newater is not distributed to residential areas and is not mixed with any of our tap water distributed too.
newater is a water so pure and clean which is used for industrial estates that need such water to clean their machineries... and also, newater is for de-contamination.
the mixing of newater with our tap water was a proposed suggestion but has not been approved as of date.
even the tap water from industrial estates are not newater.. what i mean here is that, 2 different pipelines carrying different water is routed for different usage. -
and newater is the CLEANEST water in the world.. 100% safe to drink but.. not recommended to do it on a regular basis..
if ure feeling sick and want to de-contaminate, drink newater..

anyway newater is good enough for drinking. the americans have been drinking it for years. -
