  I find e potato salad at starbucks not bad. But it's priced at $3.75 if i'm not wrong.

  potato got MANY MANY different types
  
  types for baking,mashing,blah blah blah
  
  the small red skin ones are GREAT for potato salads
  just wash the skin. dont peal. boil. cut into halves or quaters. then do whatever you want to it
