  Hi just back from overseas heard about the craze sweeping all over about Hong Kong Cafe Cha Chan Tings and Taiwanese Xiao Chi Stalls... anyone have recommendations please post!~!!

  been hearing so much about the poor service and horrible cullinary standards there...so whats attractive there? the decor and ambience?

  Good looks, poor service, mediocre taste, zero uniqueness
  
  the food there is pretty ordinary i reckon going for a hawker fair is more worthwhile. cha chan ting are a disappointment.

  there's a taiwanese shop in vivocity basement 2 where all the food stalls are. the oil is black...indicating that they have been reusing the oil to fry umpteen times without changing. *disgusting* and the stuff they sell are similar to shilin.
  
  its quite a disgusting shop all oil all over. no proper hygiene.

  The french toast at the kovan hong kong cafe is 2 times thicker than what you see here.

  i tried the butter with condensed milk at MS xin wang
  
  still think peanut butter one nicer leh
  though keeps getting stuck to roof of my mouth

  Yeah... the peanut butter always get stuck.
  
  Always think those hk cafe over charge us.
  
  Just imagine instant noodles wif some meat and vegge cost 5 plus.
  
  However, the cheese baked rice is good
  
  HK cafe-nothing special
  
  just a place that does not close early.

  for singaporens, the good old kopitiam still the best!
