Earle Swensen @ Vivo. My experience.

  has anyone heard of Earle Swensen in Vivo City? Share your experience if you have.
  
  When I first went there, I thought it was papa swensens but heck, they're unrelated.
  
  I'd say exquisite food, casual chic environment, warm ambience but louzy services and wayyy too expensive.
  
  One clam chowder costs $25++ and chicken baked rice (the cheaper ones) costs $18++.
  
  And curse the manager who doesn't give me my change. I had to call the waitress a few times to get back my change. And it took them 45 mins to serve the dessert as well even though the places aren't crowded.
  
  The manager seemed to serve the ang moh better! If you've been there, you know what he looks like. Fat and always wear blue shirt.

  haha..but true mah. It was a bad experience from a high class restaurant. Forked out about 70 bucks but got this kind of treatment.

  Since opening till now, there has been many complaints on Vivocity's restaurants or stores wor. Dun ever go back again lor.

  What?!?! Clam chowder for 25 bucks? Do they serve it in a bun? When I was in san francisco, clam chowder usually came in buns, and cost USD$2.50.

  best clam chowders are the one i used to eat when i was touring SF or the boston area...and yea, can get them way cheaper then this one over here

  i got see it before it looks like a 'trendy' version of swensens, must be they trying to target young ppl. got sell the normal ice cream?

  earle swensens is an upscale version of swensens, i guess.
  
  They sell the same type of ice cream as swensens, only costlier. The fondue costs $19.

  that time i no choice le. The food courts & fast food outlets are packed. We were starving and happened to be walking near earle sw. It was a nice place to dine but definitely, a $$$ killer.
