  thats true..flouride is actually added to help prevent tooth decay..
  and chlorine to kill bacteria...

  When I was young, I always drink boiled water because my mum told me that tap water is dirty... But after going through NS and drinking from those super old and dirty taps for 2 years and still staying alive, I have been drinking tap water since then...
  
  I don't think it's harmful... well, at least the harmful effects are not immediate, judging from my own experience so far
  
  When we were in army, those guys who went to Brunei for training must have drank lots of water from the streams too...

  You need a glance at your block's water tank to change your mind. Another is to wait till your block requires its piping to be replaced, then go downstairs and take a look at the black pipes that got removed from the roof.

  i am the opposite. i used to drink tap water but after joining the army i hated it.
  
  since then i make it a point to boil the water before drinking.
