Yelling At Japanesse Restaurant

  Hi All,
  
  I believe all of you had encounter when you step into a Japanese restaurant & every waiter & waiteress start yelling some japanese greeting. I find this most irritating. Imagine finding a place to relax & have a good meal but instead, hearing those people yelling those half-past six kind of japanese from time to time.
  
  The worst i encounter was at the Waraku Japanese restaurant over at the East Coast Park. At least two of the waiteress yell something that don't even sound like japanese or somewhere near it. Or maybe their own slang.
  
  There were a lot of japanese customers at that time (Sat afternoon) & everytime these 2 particular waiteress yell something, the japanese customer laugh. So damn paiseh. Please lah... can the management at least teach them the correct pronounciation when they start work & correct them from time to time.
  
  Btw, most of the waiteress there speak mandarin with malaysian accent.

  It's supposed to be "irrashaimase", but a lot of young workers at these restaurants like to shorten it and say "MASE!"

  I'm kinda disappointed at the languages that the waiter/waitresses speak in attempts to make Japanese restaurants more 'Japanese'. Some of them just mumble the words. Most of them don't pronounce it properly. If there were Japanese tourists patronizing the restaurants, they'd be horrified.
