  Owen road used to have a lot of good teochew porridge. I personally find the one at Joo Chiat not bad. Those along Upper Serangoon Rd aren't very good. I've tried all of the stalls there including those near my house along YCK road. Normal only.

  Oh yes, the one at Balestier Rd is not bad. The teo chew porridge at Owen rd was gd but too bad not there anymore. They sell very good tao pok kiam chai bay.

  Best one for me is Xu Jun Sheng at Joo Chiat:

  I used to stay near Owen Rd. Still seldom ate the teochew porridges there because of their cut throat prices, and too many expensive high class wannabe dishes. The MRT development probably drove them away. Those humble down to earth types are the ones I go for.

  The Punggol nasi lemak is way over rated. I once ate at the old Punggol nasi lemak at Brighton Crescent. The most expensive lasi lemak I have ever eaten.
