  Went on a crazy Briyani tour! Been trying to find the best Briyani in Sinapore. The four contenders are Allaudin's, Famous Islamic, Thohirah and House of Briyani. For me the House of Briyani has the best texture rice and the Tomato Sambal and Mutton Curry were tops!! Allaudin was tasty but lost out on texture. Islamic was a dissappointment. Thohirah was great on the rice and accompaniment.

  supposedly there's one in tekka that beats allaudin according to my friend, not sure which one though

  these days, briyani is spiced rice and curried mutton or chicken...
  
  it is hard to find the stuff where the mutton is cooked with the rice..

  It's called briyani dum.
  
  It can be find at Tampines Ave 3, which block fogotten.
  
  It's at the coffee shop opposite St. Nichloas Primary Sch.

  briyani dum mutton i haven see before yet but i go see the chicken version before, while eating at boon lay temp hawker centre. most prolly i hope i can still find it.
  
  but i still prefer fried chicken with curry and achar better. nicer to eat.
  
  the dum briyani chicken which i ate, rice abit too moist even though it has the curry flavours. and i suspect the meat is cooked in curry 1st then throw in to cook with briyani?

  btw, near the house of briyani, along the same street, is a shop that has a sign that says "Dam Briyani"
  
  i've never seen it open tho'.. but then, i pass it every evening around 6:30pm
  
  maybe they open for lunch?
