i'd be celebrating my mum's birthday soon, would like to bring her to a thai restaurant since she hasnt had thai food for some time.. so anyone can recommend any thai restaurant with reasonable pricing and good food?

Lemongrass at Downtown East is really good.. food very delicious, service excellent.

Another recommendation with excellent service and food is Renn Thai at Sunte City... but the price is a bit more steep ba. -

I always go there for good thai food.
The prices are not cheap but the quality and taste more than justifies it.
If you order the tom yam kang, please get your drink ready. My partner says the pineapple rice is fantastic. I find the pandan wrapped chicken very tender, cooked just right. Ask for the otak, I think its fishcakes on the menu, but its really otak. The stuffed chicken wings is best, another of my favourite is the claypot vermicelli with prawns. And I never leave without the tapioca dessert.
I 2 people go and eat, always set me back close to 60 bucks one. By the way, here's their number 63379429. If you going for dinner, try to make reservations. Otherwise you can sit outside wait long long. -
RENN THAI @ suntec! Try the butter prawns, tom yum goong, green curry, fish.. basically all the food are nice... but hv to depend on individual taste buds..

Lerk Thai just opposite Bugis Seiyu, got student meal, food and service are good.

I remember there are one Ah Gua waiter there, very friendly, nice service. -
Aroi Thai at Upper East Coast Road between SPC Petrol Station & Siglap NPP. This is a family run restaurant. All the waiteress inside this restaurant are all Thai aunties. They serve authentic thai dishes which is as good as those you eat in thailand. Be warn that their food are quite spicy to some local standard cos they do not cater to local taste & stick to the original. Price wise quite on the high side.
Previous visits for 2 person cost $60+. Ordered a tom yam steam fish, tom yam soup with beef & basil leave fried with mince pork (very very small portion) & two rice.
Their price for all the dishes start from $11.90 for small serving.
Quite expensive but good food. -

There's a Thai Restaurant at Westin hotel.. Level 3 I think. The weekend buffet is only $24+++ (I think) The food's good!

There's also Pattara at Tanglin Mall. Fruit and dessert coomes in a buffet spread, and the food is yummy, and not too spicy.

yes .. thai food at golden mile is the the most authentic. Most others including expensive resturants are usually localized liao to suit our taste ! one other store I find good is located in Little india. You have to tell the staff you can tahan spiciness .. otherwise they will cut down on chillie.
