I thought up this one.
Got jeered at pretty badly today because I refused to chase for a bus that was inches away. And to that I replied.
"If I should chase after something as insignificant as a bus closing its doors, I have probably lost my focus."
Thought it was rather philo.. fren thought otherwise. Well, u decide.

it's okay to chase after a bus, i do it all the time. hehehe ...
... because i've the most filthy habit of cutting things to a fine edge especially on work days, if i don't chase after the bus, i've to take a taxi and oh, that hurts. -

the significance of a bus closing its doors and not chasing it depends on *duh* how rushed you are. It could mean either a leisurely 10 minutes watching the day rolls by or 10 minutes making up excuses why you are late frantically.
and on the rape, I thought so, too, until I read about what some rapists do to the victims:
[*]use other less savoury bodily fluids such as saliva and (yikes) phlegm
[*]mutilate the victim
[*]kill him/her
