Maybe fatory towkay give sort of "goodie bag" to all the staff/workers, one of the item is bak kwa.
In china many fatory/company give them money+ a set of "nian huo", which can be alot of things, depending on what the towkay want to give, bottles of cooking oil, dried mushroom, dried fish, preserved duck/sausage/pork, peanuts, small box of fruits etc..... -
