What determines good nasi lemak?

  Is it the:
  
  a. rice?
  b. Fish?
  c. Chicken?
  d. Sambal Chilli?
  e. Ikan Bilis?
  
  i think the rice stands out the most. For any nasi lemak to be gd, the rice must be fresh and fragrant.

  anyone tried the two nasi lemak stalls at tanjong pagar hawer centre? they were rated by yummyking.

  first.. the chilli.. muz be hot plus a lil' sweet n tasty
  second.. the ikan bilis must be super crispy

  i think rice and chilli both very important!!
  but if only this two item stands out then the nasi lemak not so good liao.what's good nasi lemak if only one or two items are good only.i rather eat an average all rounded pack of nasi lemak than to eat a pack with only the chili and ikan billis good.

  Another thing to note...... the food muststill be served warm.. Try a few so called best nasi lemak stall in sg.. but sometime the food they serve arent tat warm liao..
  Anyway my list of good nasi lemak stall.
  

  Changi Village... (can go beach walk walk after dinner or see ah gua)
  Boon Lay Market.. (Cant remember the name of the market but it's in Boon Lay..)
  Chong Pang.. (the stall with tat ITR)
  the kopitiam near WDL MRT station.. (Onli when the food serve are still warm and chicken wing just fried out!
  Fong San (Sometime their good arent warm liao)
  The hawker centre opposite Queensway. (Got 1 stall there.... like the chicken drumstick very much! But I donno if they still opened. Last visit.... 3 yrs ++ ago)

  the one with the pretty big size oh ta (<-- donno how to spell) one rite? heheheeee. the chicken wing also power sia!!! Last time before most of my frds go NS.. Always mid-nite vroom vroom go down eat.... cos they are only open after 11pm. haha
