Rui Kee Chicken rice: Return of Swee Kee?

Some of the family members of Swee Kee have started this new chicken rice shop just opposite Famous Islamic at North Bridge road.
They sell both kampong and normal chicken in traditional Hainanese style

Er...i think not many ppl know about Swee Kee hor.
As a kid, my family used to go to Swee Kee for chicken rice after watching movies at Odeon...but I was too young to appreciate it.
Anyone knows where the old shop's location was at? -

My grandparents used to have a shophouse near Swee Kee and I ate there often as a kid coz my grandfather loved it's chicken rice.
It would be a great place to bring my grandma and dad coz they do miss the Swee Kee Chicken Rice. -
If you don't tell them it is Swee Kee, they will be pleasantly surprised. If you tell them. they will be dissappointed.

Up till today, I still can't find chicken rice chilli that taste like Swee Kee's
Anyway, sounds like it's worth trying still. -
hmmm this might be something many of you would be pleasantly surprisedt o hear , swee kee isnt actually closed . They've actually moved back to malaysia , i used to go there as a child and i loved the food there . One time when my father and me were driving past a row of shophouses in Senai , Johore after playing golf , we noticed a sign saying swee kee and we ventured in to examine . Lo and behold ! it was the same swee kee and the people there even recognized us . im not too sure of the exact address but its in senai near the palm resort golf club , many people playing around there are familiar with it

Yes they do but not very nice. They use a white sauce instead of the tomato sauce which I thought was not so good. The meat was dry too.
Jamus did mention about the Johore Swee Kee. It has subsequently been closed. -

hmm..can try the chicken if i go there next time..
but the hunk mah.. body is wow, but face cmi lah. -
Just ate there for dinner with my parents. Our conclusion is this. The chicken is juicy and succulent, but lacks taste. The special chilli is power but the rice is not as fluffy as we would have liked it to be. On the upside, its less oily.
