I recommend the pork chop rice at the basement food court of Shaw Centre at Beach Road. Generous portion of pork chop + sides at only $3/-! Could have easily been sold for $4 or more at other food courts.........
BIG value for money!

i recommend market cum food centre at upper boon keng road, i call it the Kallang fc... near kallang mrt...
the poriadge stall over there open for more than 20 years!! and it is only $2 -
Tang yuan at the north bridge road market hawker centre where they sell a lot of army things one. One bowl for 2 bucks.
I wonder is there any sgfood outings where we can tour round singapore eating nice and cheap food.

i know of a good and cheap place in singapore... it's at Newton Food Centre stall no. 37 Song Kee fish porridge. WOW
their fish is very fresh and the soup is very light.. DELICIOUS! they not only sell porridge, they also cook fish head soup and mee sua.. if u have not try Song Kee fish porridge that means u have not try the best fish porridge in Singapore.. Dont forget it's stall no. 37! -

their porridge is teo chew type. either soup with rice or rice + soup become porridge. -
