recently, after a long trip to US, wanted to try some traditional chinese food.
so I went with my family after arriving in singapore to the Rangoon Road Bah Kuh Teh.
it was supposed to be one of the top two and I have went there for a long time.
when I reached there, it was early, and not much customers.
however, with my family of 5, we were treated as "invisibles"..
no one served us.
I went to the place where they were preparing food, and they asked me to look for people outside, and when I went outside, the people gave me the zombie look.
After half-an hour, while my dad was preparing tea, we managed to get someone.
We ordered, and had our meal.
Well, one thing's for sure, their standard has dropped below sea level.
I was severely disappointed, but feeling the jet lag, decided to go home.
So we asked for the check.. This was the time when the people moved the fastest, and with lighting speed, they gave us a bill, demonstrating their awesome mental maths.
We were puzzled, how our meal came close to S$50.
Given our good nature, my dad decided not to make a mountain out of a molehill and left.
Well, with their infamous service and food quality, it will be my last meal with them.

This shop is called "Ah Sio" Used to be very good. Had been following them since they were at the New World back in the 70s. Now, don't find them outstanding cos their soup has turned more spicy. Also, their price is way too expensive.Originally posted by gigabyte14:wats the stall name?

They are the one that cos a big hooha over the HK press whereby the turned down their Donald Tsang the last time he visited the shop. But this guy must be an idiot. He went over at 4pm. He think everyboby is waiting to do his business.

the one at Blk 1 rocher, opp bugis hawker centre is nice & reasonable & fast service...

that's y always look at the crowd. If you go to a store, you see not many customers, and the store people listless, it's time to go somewhere else.

Quite often,i found those once famous stalls/shops/restuarants can not maintain their standard forever.Once got published by media,their price went up,but standard drops and staff got attitude problem.May be they should get Iso9000 cert.
