Sakura Restaurant

Today i went to Sakura Restarant to have Lunch.
I would recommend some of you to try the food there, its very good.
Food that i recommend would be
mushiyaki kaki ( baked oyster )
mushiyaki karasugai ( Baked mussel )
hayashi wakame, ( cold seaweed )
Shishamo, ( shishamo smelt known as capelin fish )
mushiyaki hotate ( Baked scallop on shell )
fukahire ( SHark fin soup ) note* no imitations *
kasutaadopurin (Custard pudding) *kiwi, peach, mango, turtle extract*
aisukuriimusandee ( ice cream ) 12 flavours **
kani ( crab )
Top quality Food . SeaFood freshly flown from JAPAN.
includes all sashimi, sushi, chuwamushi, EVERYTHING!
AT Tampines?

Well, for one, I have been a Shark's Fin fan since young (though I confess I have cut down since the environmental issues cropped up). Precisely because of the environmental issues, I have always thought Sakura has never brought justice to the sharks which were killed for their fins.
Their sharks' fin soup has always been quite terrible. I must say though, Sakura Tampines (at Tampines SAFRA) is relatively better than Sakura Pasir Ris (at Downtown East), but still.. not good enough.
Yes, Sakura Tampines is relatively better than quite a few other branches elsewhere which I have tried but still, there are better restaurants out there. But then, given the price that is charged, I guess the level of quality pegged would not be high anyway. -
The best sharks fin I've eaten was at Lei Garden in Chijmes few years back on my ROM dinner. It was yellowy-orange in colour. None of the sharks fin I've ever had before and after that measures up to standard to the one I had at Lei Garden. Yum yum yum!!! you come out from sommerset mrt station along orchard road, turn to your left, it is the first buidling... -
Sakura is definitely worth for you dollars....Lots of variety,different type of dishes all around...the only drawback here our stomach have limited space....

In fact, I was thinking how come TP branch is nothing like what the TS described of the tampines outlet. The one at TP is cramped, some tables are so far from the buffet, and the ambience and noise level is like a primary school tuckshop, and the food quality is not always fresh, nor tasty. -
