I found Teahouse slightly above average only. My writeup is here. For that price, go to Royal China or Wah Lok. For something cheaper, try Victor's Kitchen at Sunshine plaza.

i haben tried the Red Star one -
I frequent Teahouse.. always go for their buffet..
but lunch time serves different dim sum.. love the crispy one with mango, mayo and prawns inside.. yum yum!
but there's one at Geylang that sells very delicious yu jiao (my fav)..
went there once only, few years back.. think the name is 123 or 321 something.. -
Wan Dou Sek in Geylang has got one of the yummiest chee cheong fun I've ever had.

What about Fortunate... some xin4 fu2 place in Toa Payoh? I've never been there before... -
Red Star is traditional hong kong push cart style...
Food is not bad.. but it's more of the atmosphere.. -

The sunshine plaza one is called Victor's kitchen. It was first blogged by chubby hubby. I tried it a few days after chubby hubby blogged it and the standard was quite good. It a very old coffeeshop style dim sum eating house....

but not easy to go there.. and got to be early if going on sunday mornings.
it's the olden canto style with the push cart and chop card ones..
would be a plus if can speak cantonese... think all employees there are cantoneese.. -
