The Shrinking Drumstick

Have anyone realised that the drumsticks from chicken rice stalls are getting smaller and smaller?
Not too long ago, chicken drumstick rice would costs 50 cents more than the normal chicken rice. A common workaround is to order chicken backside which costs the same as the normal ones, but the meat is almost, or just as tender as that of the drumstick.
However, nowadays even though the prices of chicken drumstick rice have not gone up, the size of the drumstick has become smaller and smaller, sometimes taking up only half the plate for meats, leaving much empty space that it can hurt.
And while the price of the normal rice may have risen to match that of the drumstick rice's, the price of chicken backside now commands a premium instead, since they'd have to fill up the plate with meat, instead of just doing their best with a small drumstick.
Sigh. -
chicken rice stalls are so stingy..
chickens are cheap... but portion on the rice is very little... -
that means no more chemical chickens?

If you compare the KFC drumstick(original) with those from chicken rice seller..... you will feel that the chicken rice uncle isnt that bad.

when i was small, and chicken drumsticks were huge...
we used to eat while others used to stare...
dont ask me why, but time has passed us by...
somebody has started a new chicken stall...
now we are tall, and chicken drumsticks are small...
and you dun ask the price anymore...
but you and i, our craving never ceased to die...

Maybe they having a bad habbit of rinsing the drumstick into cold water before packing it in ur rice

nowadays every1 cut cost. so must buy smaller drumstick lor..
cos must prepare for gst increase..
next time the price of small drumstick will = price of big drumstick now.. -
