Any good food around boat quay/upp circular road?

  .....Anyone try those restaurants along boat quay or behind boat quay (upper circular road). Are they expensive?

  Upper circular st has quite a few zi char stalls and one famous bak chor mee sua. Sin Ho '5 Star' Chicken rice has an outlet there as well.
  
  Along the riverside, there is ricciotti, Jumbo, North Indian Tandoori cuisine and Just Steak (2nd floor, take the escalator up next to Jumbo).
  
  All quite pricy dining-in restaurants.

  Circular Road got this very nice and cheap Muslim cai png stall. Dunno what's the name though...

  Yes, at the junction of upper circular road and south bridge road entrance. Its a little food court with Indian and Malay stalls, including one with Nasi padang.

  there's one noodle shop along circular road...
  very nice
  famous for duck noodles.
  it's opp. the bak kut teh shop
  nearby this noodle shop is another noodle shop that sells abalone noodles, so don't mix up... NOT the shop that sells abalone noodles.

  Da Wan Zhou (big bowl porridge) was the only one I ever tried at Boat Quay many years back. May not even be there anymore. Had a couple of quick lunch grabs of roast duck rice at a shop at Upper Circular Road. Nothing memorable. Plus company lunch at a North Indian restaurant at Riverside. So so. The whole place smells like a tourist trap to me. But that's the intent of the planners of the soulless Singapore River though. Better to earn tourist and rich FT's dollars than cater to locals.

  upp circular rd only got 2 kopitiam wor
  one is the zi cha stall, they got lots of new dishes now and $4 set meals
  the other kopitiam got nice prawn mee
  
  i think u talking abt circular rd right, the whole stretch lots of food
  singho chicken rice have a branch there, first kopitiam got nice meesua bachormee, indian chicken brayani also not bad 3.50 only.
