Awww im dissapointed no one came to the 'Meet the chicken rice crew' meet. Ahh well, anyway, by the end of tonight, we should have posted all 5 chicken rice stalls of park way parade food court or is it market? Well whichever, enjoy and give comments please. kthks gg.

Anyway, franchised chicken rice will always lose out to non-franchised ones. My personal fave is Wee Nam Kee opposite Novena Church for non-kumpung style chicken, and Chicken house near thomson plaza for kumpung chicken.
Boon Tong Kee used to my fave, until they franchised. Still, their chilli remains the best IMO. -

There are two stall which i find very good. one of them is located at Bishan. I think the coffee shop is called Jin Shan Ling. Just outside Junction 8 opposite the MCP. They also serve very good porridge too.
The other one is at Kovan food centre. It is directly opposite the Sushi Tae. You will find long queue during lunch & dinner time. I think they do franchise out. Something special about this chicken rice is the sauce. Very tasty.
One more to mention is the Thien Kee steamboat. They also have very good chicken rice. Don't know it still count as chicken rise stall or not cos chicken rice seems like a side dish to their steamboat.

Go to Yiqin along Purvis Street (near Suntec City). It is Hainanese Restaurant that has been operating for at least 30 years with the same crew and equipment I think. They still use the abacus. LOL. Their chicken rice, hainese delicacies and steamboat are perfect!

I particularly like this stall as they serve
1) Tender juicy white chicken cooked just right to my taste
2) The rice is midly fragrance, not too intimidating, rice is not too soggy and
not oily
3) The innocent looking chilli is really a killer, bite into your tongue
Its located on the 2nd row facing the main road at Redhill Close hawker centre. Its on the left corner managed by a middle-age couple, help by his son. Try to go early, around 11am onwards cos by 12pm, there will always be a long queue. They are very generous with the "teeboon" which is a good appetizer to go along with the chicken rice. Yummy
