10% service charge worth paying f0r??

with the increase in GST, we still have to pay 10% service charge which at many times we don't get much of service do u think its worth it??
REcently i arranged for my pal's b'day dinner @ Dan Ryans located somewhere along tanglin mall, been there a few times & always leaving with a smile. But i guess there was a change of management & our dinner there was a total dieaster!! We were ignored most of the time, the waiters there forgot orders etc. In the end when the bill came the service charge was $10+
ever felt the same??
