Places to hold big capacity of people for dinner

Try to book a place for over 25, but swenson restaurant say no booking on fri, sat and sun. They suggested me to go early like maybe 2pm or 3pm that day and wait for the dinner sit .. was like "'-_-.
Call up fish n co. they say the same thing to me.
Think if wanna hold a gathering, shall not go for restaurant ? Cause no interaction among all ? Shouldn't have any big or long table for 25 ba. The max like maybe 13 to 1 table ?
Can help me think of suggestion ? Was thinking of potluck in some function room, park, HDB downstair area. Any other try organizing for such big crowd ? -
book function room + BBQ pit at condo.

What about a big private KTV room? Or a restaurant which cater to KTV private room that can accommodate 25 people. There was one year, I attended a relative's birthday. They have it at a local restaurant's private KTV room that accommodate 2 tables. There are bigger KTV rooms than this in the restaurant.
