Does anyone know where to get Putu Mayam?

  I miss this childhood food of mine.
  
  I wonder if anyone here old enough to remember this food known as the Putu Mayam?
  
  Its like white soft beehon served with orange coloured sugar. very sweet and filling. sometimes eaten with a banana. they use to sell it all over singapore in the older days. but now dun seem to find it ord
  
  Not sure its and Indian dish or Malay Dish though.

  It's factory produced in Malaysia. Certain hawkers do sell it, try brinda's or any good indian rest.

  wow thanks there. i didnt know such a food still exists. a foodie friend of mine said its extinct. its kinda far but i will make the trip down this weekend

  Some hawker centres have... but I think most already disappeared.
  
  Oh ya, I noticed that putu mayam also made a comeback in pasar malams lately.
  
  Try the pasar malams also. Outside Kathib station now got pasar malam. Ditto for Woodlands MRT
