Went to Tian Jin Lou this afternoon for its 3-6pm Dim Sum buffet at Chinatown MRT Exit A..
HAD A DAMN BAD EXPERIENCE..
WHY? Here it goes..
after seated, ambience was good.. air con, soft tone lighting..
but server keep asking what drinks what drinks what drinks.. despite being told to order later..
OK.. ordered drinks already.. about to carry on to order food.. then was told to wait.. ok wait lo.. thought she busy or what..
waited awhile for about 20 secs.. asked another server.. was told to wait again.. ok wait.. den my patience was running out.. after few minutes of waiting, i asked another server which is a SINGAPOREAN.. was quite arrogant.. guess what he told me, HE SAID THAT ONLY ONE SERVER IS ALLOW TO TAKE ORDERS.. AND ITS FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.. WTH??? THERE ARE MORE THAN 15 COVER AND U EXPECT ME TO WAIT AGAIN??
I TOLD MYSELF TATS IT.. ME AND MY WIFE WALKED OUT OF THE RESTAURANT WITHOUT PAYING A SINGLE CENT.. I DONT THINK ITS TOO MUCH AS I HAVE NOT EVEN EATEN OR DRANK ANYTHING AT ALL..
but still, i would rate
- Ambience 3/5 Due to the tight space constrains.
- Food ?/5 Due to the fact that i did not even eat.
- Service 3/5 As the Singaporean server was arrogant
- Buffet worth 0/5 They dont deserve a single point as they give a clear idea to the customers that they want to maximize our waiting time so that less food can be ordered..
My recommendation, do not even visit this restaurant.. its not worth wasting the time..
i show u the pictures of the horrible dim sum
apparantly.... nothing good......
(i was there for lunch, about 12pm+, a few days ago)
served by a cute xdd though
relli nothing nice..
no wonder they need to advertise......
was told the menu for the dim sum buffet is the same except no porridge
for sure, not going back again.....
but i think if u order from the more asspensive menu one is quite good
as i said, its a waste of time..
yumcha is much better
oso buffet 3-6pm
$16.80++ , the last time i went
