Went there on New Year Eve to have dinner...
Make reservation for Coco Palm Beach (2nd Floor) at 730pm...
when I reach there at 730, saw the queue for reservation made is about 5-6 groups... no choice but to queue, after 20min before talking to the receptionist, still got to wait for another 10min... better still no seats upstairs... since we have oredy waited for 1/2 hour, we decided to be seated at level 1...
we were then showed to our table, to our astonishment, that table weren't even set up yet, no table cloth, no cutlery, nothing... after everything being setup, we weren't given any menus, I got2 go around searching for our own menus as waitresses walked pass us as if we doesnt exist...
after ordering our dishes, the 1st dish came around 1/2hour later, 2nd dish 15min later, as if we r at some chinese wedding dinner...
we our chilli crabs arrived, we were shocked that the gravy of it is cold, we asked for the captain 2 get it warm up again and we waited for another 10 mins and again the chili crab doesnt seems to b any warmer than the previous, we were so hungry by then we juz eat it.
The service is really poor at the level 1, not even a sorrie from the captain regarding the cold dish and thats y i have make reservation for Coco Palm Beach... I dun think I will ever step into it again as I think its such a pain to eat there...

Services like the one u mentioned are common in singapore restaurants, especially so during the festive seasons as the restaurant staff have to cope with the unending numbers of guests demanding a dinner table.
I can understand ur position as a customer as well as the staff, having been a waiter previously at a 5-star establishment.
However this is pretty much a chicken and the egg problem. The customer blames the establishment, while the staff blames the customer. Who's right and who's wrong is plainly subjective.
I suggest that if u want good service coupled with excellent food and dun intend to wait too long if u've made a reservation, try the jumbo seafood restarants.
