That is mainly because its American Luncheon Meat, not the typical Asian type where obviously it is more suited for Asians. I wonder how Americans lived off that stuff; I ever read an article devoted to SPAM in Readers' Digest. -

I rather not take the risk to eat such super salty SPAM lite luncheon meat. Even though the one I bought has got words on the can that said it is reduced salt but it still taste super salty.

Damn and I used to chow down on them with bread.Not sure, read his post on this, it is found in this thread. I can only remember one of the parts is ears. Don't know why I am still not kiasi, still like to eat luncheon meat. BTW, I don't eat a large amount and I don't consume it often.

But many years ago, I heard from a friend who worked in meat import industry. He told me McDonald's meat comes from spare parts. Like you said, from the ears, crunched soft bones etc. -

yeah.. i like spare parts.. when they still actually look and taste like spare parts.
Putting them in luncheon meat is like a waste of perfectly good spare parts.
Then again, I like oven-grilled luncheon meat too. Grilled until crunchy the best.

I dont like Luncheon meat really. Unless they were sliced super thin and deep fried to a crisp.
