As per above title.
I'm looking into the possibility of signing up for a course that teaches me how to make cupcakes, small treats and small cakes that kind of stuff.
Don't really want to be a professional baker or pastry chef, but more like as a past time hobby for me to express my own creativity, and maybe making it for colleagues, friends etc.. :D
Somemore, I'm already working in office as full-time job.
So, anyone knows of any good school / course?
I'm not interested in those short workshops whereby they give you some recipes and ask you to follow the teacher make cupcakes.....because you don't learn much from that.
I don't even know how to break an egg, or fry an egg, and I have problems even cutting an apple properly cos' my mom always do those stuff and I never touched them once (I'm 24 yrs old, btw). :xizao:
Thanks!

Your neighbourhood CC will have cooking courses, find out when they are teaching how to bake cakes.

You can start to learn how to cut an apple properly now from your mom. It's not that hard. So is breaking an egg.

You can try google and will find plenty of videos on how to bake a cake/cupcake and decorations as well.

Hmm, to be honest, if you can't even break an egg properly...it'd be rather tough for you to learn pastry.
I'd suggest you going to Phoon Huat for demo classes only or perhaps part time course from SHATEC(very recognised & recommended) or BITC.
apple cutting very easy nowadays.
get a skin peeler and a core remover.
