Some people likes those smells leh.
Like Durians, some love it, some hate it.
And I've tried American Chinese made Singapore Style Bak Gua. Taste strange of the pork plus blood smells.
Now even worse when they totally closed down. USA side Singaporean misses Bak Gua.

But this type of unpleasant smell is sign that the product is not fresh, out of date, expired.
Want bak kwa, buy it in Singapore. Like the Chinese food serves in the angmo countries don't taste the same as Singapore Chinese food.
Well, I smuggled in 21 boxes of vacumn packed bakgua this time.
May have to repeat that next year.

You mean the mei zheng xiang's mini vacumm packed bak kwa. Initially, when the mini bak kwa in vacumm packed were out in the market I like it and later after eating much of it I find that it does not taste nice.
Wow, you very good luck not to get caught. Perhaps the next time you can get the bak kwa recipe and prepare bak kwa there.

Get caught by customs means forgoing all the bak kwa or you consume all 21 packs before your flight. ![]()
