you like?
i make it rather often now. cos of my handy little hand held blender. heehee.
i usually add unsweetened soy/almond milk. a huge splash of maple syrup, a bunch of whatever fruits. BLEND. my blender can't take solids, so i don't add ice. but everything is usually cold, so the drink's still cold. heehee. i LOVE. the best way for me to take my fruits. sometimes i add yogurts. sometimes i add nut butter. would be great to add ice cream. but i don't have ice cream...
I love smoothies.
Banana smoothies quite nice. Usually use banana, milk, yoghurt and some vanilla ice cream for it.
We also make blueberry smoothies quite often too as we have big supply of blueberries in the freezer.
Yum!
I have an industrial-grade Oster 12-speed blender, so pulverizing ice is no problem. ![]()
My favourite smoothie concoction comprises the following ingredients:
Throw everything into the blender, hit "pulverize" and watch the lights in the house dim. Blend until everything is nice and smooth, pour it into a tall glass and enjoy!
Edited to add:
I actually made a smoothie this evening, using the ingredients listed above, and took some pictures of the process:

My favourite smoothie concoction comprises the following ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of peach slices (drained of syrup)
- 1/2 ripe banana
- 2/3 cup of ice cream (usually vanilla or chocolate chip)
- 2/3 cup of pina colada mixer
- About 6 "standard size" ice cubes
Throw everything into the blender, hit "pulverize" and watch the lights in the house dim. Blend until everything is nice and smooth, pour it into a tall glass and enjoy!

now i'm craving it
oh....when i add banana to smoothies, they have to be really ripe. usually, when the bananas are ripe till a certain stage, i'll peel them and stick them in the freezer. these are the bananas i use when making smoothies...
Me only like....avacado, milk & drizzle on honey.
Then is singapore way too sweet mango juice with plain yogurt. Can pour into ice cream sticks molds to make yogurt ice cream stick too.
And my one mug size blender also was used to pulvarise cooked pearl barley soup seeds. (sieve the soup, take the seeds and blend in the blender, then pour into ice cream molds.)
My mother used to cook mince meat porride, take out the meat, pulvarise in the blender and make it a meat porridge blended.
I like smoothies too... but have to clear my protein shake first... :)
Smoothies are yum.
i like oreo!
I dun like it too thick..... scared later got trouble swallowing it...
use spoon - then it becomes a bit like having yoghurt
This is my personal favourite! The muscle builder smoothie!
2 Tbsp peanut butter
1 banana
1/3 c whey protein
1/2 c fat-free chocolate frozen yogurt
1 c fat-free milk
Toss and liquefy.
For the ladies and OLs alike, you might wanna try this kickstarter shake to beat the afternoon slump. Blend it in the morning, pack it up into a flask and store it in your office fridge.
1 c skim milk
2 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate
1 c strawberries
1 kiwifruit
i saw this place selling durian smoothies... but didnt dare try...
Forgot to mention: I normally keep the glass cup I use for the smoothie in the freezer. Helps to keep the smoothie frozen longer after it's poured and served.
I WANT CHOC CHIP ICE CREAM TOO!!!!!
i'm going to try putting my cup in the freezer =P
today i had strawberry smoothie.
