Indian table food stalls during CNY last time

  can u remember, when during CNY, shops close and u can see those table with huge silver untensils selling curried crab, chicken, lamb rice ect?

  yes i do remember. Early 90s.

  Think they are not licensed to sell. Cant be found now i guess.

  yes there was in the late 80s- early 90s. HDB and heartlands. During CNY, all coffeeshops and provision shops are closed in the past.not even a single shop, it was more ghost town than nowadays .. so some malays and indians will make $$$ by selling food on makeshift tables like the otak man

  i have bought and eaten before, not bad. home cooked taste. Dishes like sambal crab & prawn are nice.

  others like chicken mutton and satay also have

  But usually its more expensive. around $4-5 at that time.can understand lah. Firstly they taking risk if caught by NEA and at least can at least they take the trouble to provide food during CNY
