Some years ago, a colleague of mine bought some Hakka soon kueh from Jalan Berseh. I'm no longer in touch with her so I can't ask her where exactly she bought it from.
So erm, does anybody know where?
No birdie knows? =(

Nope...
Actually, I did a bit more searching online the other day. Hakka soon kueh is more accurately known as "soon ban", and unlike normal soon kueh, which predominantly contains turnip, Hakka soon ban has other ingredients like mushroom, shrimp, tau kwa, black fungus etc. And also, the skin is yam-based and not made with rice flour.
There's a Beef House along Syed Alwi Road that sells (supposedly) very good Hakka soon ban. I wonder if it's the place my ex-colleague bought it from (cos she mentioned Jalan Berseh, which is in the area).
I don't usually have any business there, but one of these days I'm going to make a trip there. :D
huh?
soon ban?
yam skin?
can show pic?
Mooku, you can get it from Pearl Centre. A couple of shops selling them.
I'll post a picture when I manage to buy them...
Fanta, are they nice too? :x
There is a stall at Blk44 Holland Drive Food Centre selling Hakka Soon Kuey at 70cents a piece.
The stall sells the hakka suanpanzi also.
