my friends told me that without trying the sashimi there in brunei, it's as if you hadnt set foot in brunei at all! couldnt believe until i set foot there..

operating hours as above (with 2 lizards as cameos in my photo lol)

train express loaded with dishes!

one of the private rooms available. (too bad cant take photo of the surrounding cos i only took it before i left and its pretty untidy lol)

top left - sashimi. it's so thick that you cant resist the sight of it and you just wanna put it into your mouth! $15 is damn worth it!
top right - unagi tofu. tastes damn godly and a must for unagi lovers!
bottom left - cheese salmon sushi. ummm... anything to do with sashimi and i just cant resist!
bottom right - japanese mushroom. it's addictive!

this is how thick the sashimi pieces are if you wanna have a good look.

sashimi with fish egg sushi. mmm

fried salmon skin - super addictive! simply love this.

tempura prawn - crispy and juicy!

softshell crab - freaking awesome especially with the sauce!

beef stick - for those who want a craving for beef.

phoenix dish - new dish but simply owns! looks small on picture but...

i cant even eat the whole sushi into the mouth! requires 3 bites at least to finish it all. and theres LOBSTER MEAT in the head! $10 for this dish! CHEAP AND NICE! last but not least...

TOTAL OWNAGE! i dare to say you have never set foot into brunei before if you hadnt tried this! servings there are more generous as compared to restaurants in sg!
spent about $25 a person, and it's fricking worth it!
and if you like some thrills, you may order something like...

quill's egg

and try cracking it into your cup of tea! (but my friend cracked it in his miso though)
why dun u put all the brunei food under one thread

some of the food as i mentioned are not sold throughout brunei, but rather only specific places which sell them. and i doubt sashimi is a special dish in brunei, just that the branch that sells them is really generous in servings and fresh too. i am trying to make a comparison of jap food sold by escapade and those found in sg also.
the tempuras look awesome man!!!
Wow, they look almost exactly the same as those served at Akashi, minus the prices and the salmon.![]()
But still have to consider airfare...

and you must know how to think from the japanese point of view
"since i can get much better and cheaper deals in my own country, why would i bother to eat my own country's food in foreign land?"
it's just like eating nasi lemak or hainanese chicken rice in uk which costs 10 bucks.
Salmon skin ... hmm ...
ystrdy got one bruneian emailed & said me "so soft sweet but tired".
made me so much wanted to beat him up. ![]()
