A Sushi Bar you should Never Visit

Today I visited Yew Tee point Japanese resturant on level 1 is really a horrible one . They selling sushi white plate at promotional price of .99cents (Ya , cheap right ??, but taste really really shitty ...) Nothing was nice at all, their ramen soup base tasted bad (Even maggie mee tasted 100 times better ) ... ''Tom yum is a must try'', says their waitress... but when served, it tasted nothing like Tom yum( Not sour nor wee bit of spicy shiok sensation, literally water add milk n invisible quantity of salt.. duh.. and cost $12. xx, wat a rip off ). This resturant waste my time n money.. I so much wanted to tell ppl to stop queuing up for the horrible food .. My Rating for this Resturant is 0 /10 ,service is soo soo poor & I'm being charged $7. XX for this nonsense. First and last visit to this stupid joint , One time event , and I will never step into this horrible tasting so called Japanese sushi bar again .. I also urge ppl to write feedback ,should they visit this resturant .

correct!! Absolutely the worst Japanese food served .. I think even food court jap food tasted better ..and those selling sushi inside of supermarkets or shopping malls are far more better .. Both price and quality !!

i noe i noe this restaurant!! i live at yew tee and got to know this place. never tried it though..thanks for the warning, maybe u can try the cafe lobby and tell us how is it

just stick to sakae sushi and you will be fine.
service so-so, food so-so, not so expensive (but not so cheap nowadays too)
but acceptable quality for acceptable value.
not bad for someone who like japanese food but doesn't like to burn his pockets.

I recommend this sushi restaurant Nikon Mura(under the Suki Sushi brand) at Tampines Stadium. Go on weekdays(except PH) at 3p.m to 5p.m got "buffet" one... Sashimi sushi and a lot of other things there for free. Even ice cream and drinks are free. I think around $17~ per person(adult) and much much lesser for students and youths.
Highly recommended.

Imo, if you really know how to appreciate japanese food. any decent traditional japanese restaurant r better than sushi belts' sushi.
In a cuisine where "freshness" is highly prized as one of it's virtues, it's always better to have japanese food prepared upon your order than grabbing off sushi belts where only god knows how long that plate had been on that belt... not to mention the fact most of the sushi will have been on the belt way before the operation hours (chanced upon the belt around 80% full when I walked past one sakae sushi outlet at 930+am and yet the outlet is open at 11:30am *shudder*)
but as I stressed, "acceptable quality for acceptable value".
And btw, next time any of you go for a 3pm - 5pm sushi buffet. 1) pay attention to the color of the sushi (avoid "pale" colored meat) 2) the sushi rice (avoid sushi with the rice base "loose" or "broken") 3) the hot items (touch the base of the plates to check whether is it still hot) these are signs that the plate may have been on the belt for a long long time, thus the reason for the buffet timings. :P

the ichiban sushi also not bad. when went there the first time everything ordered was delicious
. that was last year and i went to the one at AMK hub.if the restaurant visited by TS is really that lousy, there's no need to worry as it would closed down soon

hmm , Cafe lobby I went le , hokkien prawn mee not too bad, but need plenty of chilli de . Went to Xin wang , a member there also , food not tat bad, their iced yuan yang highly recommended. They open till 3am too.. I went there 11plus at nite, still got plenty of ppl. For their price, consider quite good loh.... but recently i went again, standard for food dropped abit.. maybe the top chefs went back to their own other branches. Toast box so so only ... Mac cafe, well, bought the ice blend mocha, very dilute.. not so nice.. -
cafe lobby the bubble tea quite nice. their lemon green tea is superb

on the belt dun have we order from menu ($2.99) then after ordered le appear on belt(99cents) WTF!!! rice taste like KNS! no tamago somemore! im boycotting the shop

Yes I TOTALLY AGREE !! Tried once with my wife and the food big time SUCKS. BOYCOTT the bloody SHIN XXXXX shop. Ordered around 6 plates of 99cent sushi, and not to look too shabby, order 1 4.99plate and 1 6.99 plate.
Unhappily paid twenty over bucks, have to go and eat KFC because not full. SHIN XXXXX shop, please have some QC control !!!
