wanna share my experience of eating there yesterday, Eunos MRT branch. If you have not eaten dinner pls dun read cos your hunger will be gone. I ordered the Chicken cutlet set. When i stepped in, the extreme fishy smell nearly turned me away.
Let me try my best to describe how the chicken cutlet looks and taste. ** sighz
Once the dish arrived on my table, i was stunned (not in a good way)
The cutlet skin: The skin was so thick cos they somehow used a alot of flour (or whatever you call it)! And you can still some flour powder in the skin!
Chicken: ok. gross. super gross. The chicken in each cutlet was very DARK & tough. Dark as in you know they used very old chicken's meat. So imagine your chicken dish the chicken is dark, blacky, tough and dirty looking.
So combine the skin and the dirty chicken and imagine. Btw the chicken and the skin was almost falling apart. The potato salad in the set was size of 20cents coin.
Taste wise: skin is only flour taste. chicken is tough, tasteless and gross
Are you sure that was japanese rice i was eating? More like plain normal rice
** shakes head and sighz
yesterday 2nd time eating there, again tummy pain immed after eating!
For almost $5 it ain't exactly dirt cheap so pay peanuts get peanuts doesn't apply. I can easily get delicious japanese food at this price example velocity foodcourt and the japanese stall at Ayer rajah industrai estate hawker centre (yummy)

Almost $5 won't get you japanese rice.

there's a sushi outlet at clementi mall, not sakae sushi. Slightly cheaper than Sakae but the freshness of the sashimi and tightness of the sushi cannot match up.
When the sashimi arrived, a huge part of it was still frozen. The colour also a bit dark on some of it. haha......sakae still the best.

I prefer suki over sakae becoz of their buffet... suki de sashimi are included in their buffet...
Though I prefer the old suki menu... The new one removed quite a few items le >___>
Oh ya, I heard from a fren say AMK got suki sushi, but does it have buffet dinner???
